Payton Frank’s single was all Eisenhower could muster against Saegertown on Friday in an 18-1 Region 2 softball setback at Werner Park.

Frank eventually scored on a passed ball for the Knights’ lone run.

“We hung with them until the fourth inning,” Eisenhower coach Rich Pascuzzi said. “The score was only 4-1, (but) then the momentum swung, and our errors and mental mistakes hurt us. We are very young with only one senior. The wins will come for these girls with hard work and determination. We never gave up.”

Eisenhower fell to 2-10 overall and 2-9 in the region while Saegertown improved to 10-2 and 10-1.

Starting at $3.50/week.
