The Eisenhower girls softball team improved its record to 2-1 with a 9-7 win over visiting Rocky Grove at Werner Park on Wednesday.
The Knights were led by Abi Grunden who had three hits and drove in three runs and scored the winning run, Eisenhower head coach Rich Pascuzzi “it was great to see Abi hit the ball, she made some great stops behind the plate as well.”
Taylor Napolitan pitched a complete game in the circle and added three hits on offense for th Knights.
Also getting the bat active for Eisenhower was Julia Gesing with three hits and Tracey Jakubczak, Callie Benson and Kailey Morrison all had two hits apiece.
“It was great to get on the field,” added Pascuzzi. “It was our first game in a week. I’m proud of how the girls battled the whole game and never gave up.”

BASEBALL
KNIGHTS FALL TO COCHRANTON
The Eisenhower baseball team hosted Cochranton and fell 13-6.
Knights senior pitcher Cole Chapman took the loss for the Knights, but hurled seven strikeouts.
