ERIE — Mercyhurst Prep broke a 36-36 tie in the waning seconds to defeat Warren 38-36 on Friday in freshmen boys basketball at Mercyhurst Prep.

Warren’s Chase Sitler scored 13 of his game-high 20 points, and Reid Olsen hit four 3-pointers in a 25-17 second half that just fell short. Sitler and Olsen combined for four 3s in the fourth quarter to tie the score after trailing 31-22 after three quarters.

Warren’s freshmen next play Monday at Titusville.
