HERSHEY — Warren senior Katie Beyer turned in a 40th-place finish in the girls Class 2A race at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state cross country meet on Saturday at the Hershey Parkview Course.
Beyer turned in a time of 20:41.30 on the 5,000-meter course.
Beyer’s junior teammate Shyann Rulander finished in 21:07.8, good for 66th place.
The winner was Blue Mountain senior Olivia Haas, who finished in 18:30.20, more than 30 seconds faster than second-place Jolena Quarzo of Brownsville.
In the boys Class 2A race, Archbishop Wood senior Gary Martin won with a time of 15:46.7.

Eisenhower senior Alex Hummel turned in 91st-place finish in the boys Class 1A race with a time of 18:34.80. The winner was Palisades junior Thomas Smigo in 16:31.10.
“The state meet is held on a very challenging course and Alex finished the season with a strong run,” Eisenhower head coach Darlene Beach said. “He has had a great cross country career at Eisenhower.”
Penns Valley Area senior won the girls Class 1A race in 19:32.0.
Butler senior CJ Singleton claimed the Class 3A boys race in a time of 15:52.9 while Moon Area senior Mia Cochran won the girls Class 3A race in 18:08.5.
