Eisenhower runners shine at McQuaid Invitational

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –The Eisenhower cross country team participated in the McQuaid Invitational at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday.

The girls team finished in 30th place out of 62 teams in the small schools division and Alex Hummel placed 28th out of 357 A-2 small school boys runners.

Leading the way for the girls in the small school division was Sydney Cronmiller in 112th place with a time of 23:23, Gracie Anthony at 150th with a time of 24:31, Alyssa Wismar at 183rd with a time of 25:31, Chloe Lasecki at 200th with a time of 26:04 and Brooke Andersen with a time of 29:10.

Hummel blazed through the course with a time of 17:29, earning 28th place, Griffin Williams came in at 177th with a time of 20:27 and Nathan Hanson finished 239th with a time of 21:25.

For the junior high runners, the Eisenhower girls team finished in eighth in Small/Medium Schools Division. Kierra Wismar was a medalist with a time of 11:29 in 29th place and Isabell Grosch was in 38th, earning a medal with a time of 11:36. Brun Lindell finished with a time of 12:06 for 50th place, Lillian Cathcart finished 108th with a time of 13:53; Cassady Ferino finished 112th with a time of 14:04 and Jordan Jacob took 151st with a time of 15:30.

The Knights girls junior high runners finished in eighth place as a team. Leading the way were medalists Kierra Wismar and Isabell Grosch and top-75 finisher Brun Lindell.

The two junior high boys runners were Bryceton Wilkins taking 61st with a time of 9:44 and Trenton Courtney in 126th with a time of 11:18.
