JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Registration for fall Backyard Curling at Northwest Arena has begun.

Play will begin Oct. 11 and will be offered once a week for nine weeks with multiple times available on Mondays and Wednesdays, and a single league on Fridays at 4:30 p.m. Each league is comprised of four-person teams with an entry fee of $280 per team.

Adapted for the Northwest Arena, backyard curling can be played with the traditional slide technique or by using a curling stick similar to shuffleboard. No brooming is needed. Leagues are open to beginners and returners as lessons and practices begin Oct. 4.
