Big 30 Game is tonight in Bradford

BRADFORD, Pa. — The Big 30 Charities Classic annual All-Star Game will take place today at Parkway Field.

Kickoff is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. Last year’s game was canceled due to the pandemic.

Local players on the New York team, which will be coached by Wellsville’s staff, include: Cattaraugus-Little Valley’s Brodie Hill and Joe Quigley; Franklinville/Ellicottville’s Wyatt Chudy, Ryan Dekay, Brett Krynski and Clayton Rowland; Frewsburg’s Michael Corrigan and Aidan Cardone; Gowanda’s Zachary Phillips; Randolph’s Wyatt Adams, Ashton Bushey and Isaac Hind; and Salamanca’s Lucas McKenna, Ezra Stahlman, Carter Stoltz and Jarod White.

Local players on the Pennsylvania team, which will be coached by Ridgway’s staff, include: Eisenhower’s Zane Alexander, Jared Beers, Dillon Benson, Brody Porter and Owen Trumbull; Sheffield’s Jacob Davidson; and Warren’s Alex Borger, Donovan Fiscus, Micah Passmore and James Swanson.

Local New York cheerleaders include: Cattaraugus-Little Valley’s Morganne Chapman and Bailey Benson; and Salamanca’s Jaeden Hubbard. Local Pennsylvania cheerleaders include: Eisenhower’s Alexandra Pascuzzi, Raegon Beaver and Morgan Kellogg, who will sing the national anthem; Sheffield’s Allison Schmader and Lillian Lauffenburger; and Warren’s Caroline Massa and Lexy Johnson.

This year the committee will honor those players, cheerleaders and homecoming queens who missed the chance to be a part of last year’s game. At halftime, they will be called onto the field to be recognized and applauded. The players were already given their game jerseys, and the cheerleaders and homecoming queens were given their game shirts last year after the final decision was made to cancel the game.

As for tonight’s game, gates will open at 5 p.m. to allow fans into the stadium. No one will be permitted into the stadium to reserve seats, etc.

The Big 30 Parade will assemble this afternoon at the Best Western Motel on Davis Street at 1:30 p.m. and begin at 2:30 p.m. The parade will be also honoring two committee members who passed away since the last game — Jack Carns and Bob Dunn — both of whom served their communities and the game committee with passion and kindness.

The parade route will follow up Main Street to Mechanic Street, right on Mechanic Street to Barbour Street, and left on Barbour Street up to Campus Drive.

Pennsylvania will be the home team this year on the large bleacher section side of the field. This year’s programs will have a special giveaway marked in a program. The referees for the game will be from the Sam Benedict Chapter of Football Officials.

Starting at $3.50/week.
