Dragons’ girls team has a ‘great’ day on track, too

The Warren boys track and field team claimed a regional title on Tuesday following an 81-60 win over Meadville, while the Dragons added a 95-45 win in the girls contest.
“Today was a great day for both our squads,” Warren head coach Kevin Dustin said. “Our girls team finished off a strong end to the season with a big win. Our boys team wrapped up an undefeated season and region championship. It’s been many years since they have accomplished that and it’s great to see them come together to achieve that goal. We are incredibly proud of our teams and a huge congrats goes out to the boys for their accomplishment.”
Ben White took home the 100 meters in 11:54 and the 200 meters in 23.28 to lead the Dragons to victory while Alex Zeigler won the shot (43 feet, 2.5 inches) and the javelin (124-8).
Kyleigh Wilson claimed the 100 meters in 13.3 and took home the long jump with a leap of 18-1.
