HAMMETT, Pa. — Another sultry summer night greeted fans at Eriez Speedway even though several drove through rain showers on the way to the track.

When the features were complete, Chris Horton had pocketed the $500 winner’s purse for the L&D Tree Service Challenger special while Dave Hess Jr. again picked up two feature wins, the Mill Run Collision Super Late Models and the Waterford Hotel UMP Modifieds, plus two heat wins to add to his growing collection.

Chub Frank prevailed in the Nic Dit Trucking/Empire RUSH Late Model feature; Steve Simon got the Johnson’s Car Care and Collision Economods win; and defending class champion John Boardman won yet another Curtze Food Service ProStock win.

Mikael Beaver was the only entrant for the Everhart Asphalt and ET Motorsports RUSH ProStocks, so was awarded a win, but competed with the ProStocks.

Next Sunday night will be the Dick Litz Memorial for the Mill Run Collision Super Late Models paying $2,900 to win, sponsored by Cloud 9 Bar and Grill.
