Dragons out until at least May 8 due to COVID-19 quarantine
Warren’s softball team will be out for 10 days due to a COVID-19 quarantine.
The Dragons last played Saturday when they won 11-0 in DuBois.
Jeff White, high school athletic director, sent out an email Tuesday afternoon explaining that Warren’s upcoming schedule has been altered due to a “COVID issue.”
The Dragons’ game scheduled for Tuesday at home against Conneaut was postponed until Saturday, May 8 at 5 p.m. because SAT tests are scheduled for earlier that day.
Thursday’s game against Villa Maria was postponed until Monday, May 11 at 4 p.m. and will likely be a varsity-only contest.
A game against General McLane scheduled for Tuesday, May 4 has been postponed to Monday, May 17 at 4 p.m. in Warren with the JV to follow.
Lastly, a Thursday, May 6 doubleheader against Fort LeBoeuf has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 15 with a varsity-only 11 a.m. start time.
Games on Saturday, May 1 at Titusville; Saturday, May 8 home against St. Marys; and Saturday, May 15 at Corry have been canceled and will not be made up.
The Dragons are scheduled to return to action with the May 8 game against Conneaut, which will start a string of nine games in 13 days.
