Warren girls post road win
HARBORCREEK — Warren’s girls basketball team needed every bit of a 21-point first quarter in a 40-27 Region 6 win at Harbor Creek on Thursday.
“Great first quarter,” said Warren coach Lisa LaVan, whose Dragons are 10-1 overall and 4-1 in region. “They are keying in on Em and Ry, so others needed to step up. They did, too.”
Riley Childress and Kelsey Stuart had 7 points each in a 21-8 first quarter that compensated for a one-point Warren second quarter.
Childress finished with 12 points and four steals, and Stuart and Emma Ruhlman 9 points each. Ruhlman added eight rebounds and three assists and Teagan Paris had 4 points and seven rebounds.
