Sheffield improves to 6-4 with road win
SHINGLEHOUSE – Sheffield picked up a road win over Oswayo Valley Thursday night, 39-24.
The Wolverines had pins from Kole Holden at 106, Harley Rothrock at 145, Tanner Barr at 152, Steve Gregerson at 170 and Austin Gregerson at 220.
Michael DeVito wrestled to a 3-0 decision in the 145-pound match and Kyle Holden also received a forfeit win at 132 for Sheffield.
“Everyone wrestled well, and it brings our record up to 6-4,” said Sheffield coach Jack Rice.
Due to a scheduling issue dealing with the amount of matches teams in Pennsylvania are allowed to wrestle, the Wolverines were forced to cancel their next four dual matches starting with Youngsville on Thursday.
This insures that Sheffield’s wrestlers will be eligible to compete in individual postseason matches.
