MEADVILLE -- Warren's volleyball team traveled to Meadville on Thursday and defeated the Bulldogs 16-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-19 in Region 5 action.
The Dragons overcame a first-set scare but outlasted Meadville to secure another victory on the season.
Ace leaders on the evening were Hailey Cabisca with three and Attie Corey with two.
Madelyn Nosel led the way in the kills category with 14, followed by Cabisca with nine, Corey with nine, Julia Getner with eight, and Brooke Sherry with six.
Malaysia Sorensen amassed 26 digs with Nosel having 15 and Paiden Johnson notching 12.
Getner was a force at the net with four blocks.
Brynn Norris had another solid outing with 27 assists and Cabisca added 14.
In jayvee play, the Dragons defeated the Bulldogs by a score of 25-16, 25-22.
Lara Pearson had two kills, two aces and four digs; Tia French contributed eight digs and an ace; Kendall Skerda added two kills and an ace; Michaela Dolan had five digs and 12 assists; Kelsey Johnson had a kill, a dig and a block; Addison Brown had two aces; and Hailey Cabisca had eight kills.
The varsity squad returns to play Tuesday when it hosts Harbor Creek and the jayvee goes on the road this weekend to Kane.
