College newsWarren Area High School graduate Matt Jaskolka was named PSAC West Pitcher of the Week after posting a 1-0 record with a no decision in two wins last week for Mercyhurst University. Jaskolka tossed 11 1/3 innings and allowed just one run on seven hists for a 0.79 earned run average and an opponents' batting average of .167.The Lakers (24-1 overall, 15-1 in the PSAC West Division) moved up to No. 6 in the country in the latest Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Division II poll. YMCA statesSophie Olson earned two top-six medals recently at the 2015 Pennsylvania YMCA State Swimming Championships at Penn State University.Olson finished fourth out of 18 who qualified in the 200-yard freestyle, breaking her own Warren Dolphins team record in 2:17.85 in the 10 & Under girls division. Olson was also sixth out of 24 in the 10 & Under 100 free in 1:04.54, and 14th out of 24 in the 50 free in 30.19.Will Sokolski fijnished 10th out of 24 in the 10 & Under boys 100 free in 1:10.55, and was also part of the 200 free relay with Landon Moore, Kohle Lyon and Hugh ...
