Maria J. Lehmann

Maria J. Lehmann, 83, of Spartansburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, at Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born June 30, 1942, in Corry, PA, a daughter of Gerald and Regina (Richter) Higley.

Maria was raised and educated in Townville, PA, where she graduated from Townville high school in 1960. As a young girl and throughout much of her life, she stayed busy helping on the family dairy farm, her and Delbert moved to the Corry Area on Welsh Hill Rd to operate their own dairy farm. Then they retired from farming, they moved to Oil Creek Road in Spartansburg in Sept. of 1977. Her primary role was raising and caring for her family. Once her children were old enough, Maria started working for Blair Corporation, where she worked until she retired in 2007.

Maria was a woman of God and enjoyed donating to several different charities. Including, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Children’s, Easter Seals, Our Lady of America needs Fatima, Companions of St. Anthony, Farley’s Boy Ranch, St. Labre Indian School, American Heart Association, American Lung Association and The Sierra Club. Maria also enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, bird watching, watching baseball, college football and the Kansas City Chiefs. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert W. Lehmann, whom she married on September 24, 1966, in Corry, PA and daughter-in-law, Mildred “Millie” Lehmann.

Maria is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Morton of Corry, PA and her companion Jeffrey Rasey of Spartansburg, PA; two sons, Lawrence Lehmann of Spring Creek, PA and Paul Lehmann of Spartansburg, PA; six grandchildren, Timmy Morton, Adelia Avery, Vincent Lehmann, Lacey Morton, June Lehmann and Kyra Morton and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407 on Saturday, Sept. 27th from 11 am until the time of the funeral service there at 1 pm.

Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek, PA.
