One of Warren County’s most beloved traditions returns in June as the Young Mothers’ Study Club hosts its 60th annual charity auction – an event that brings the community together and supports local organizations that serve women, children and families in need.

The auction will be held on Wednesday, June 11, at Bent Run Brewing. Doors open at 11 a.m., and basket winners will be drawn at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, and include a pulled pork BBQ meal, one drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), a dessert, live music, and entry into a $500 door prize drawing. Tickets will also be available during First Friday in downtown Warren on June 6, where Young Mothers’ Study Club members will have a booth set up to sell tickets and accept last-minute donations.

“We’re aiming to make our 60th auction the most fun and successful one yet,” said Tina Andersen, YMSC president. “Each year, more than 200 attendees join us to raise thousands of dollars that go directly back into our community, and this year we hope to top that.”

The 2025 auction proceeds will benefit three vital local organizations: Caring for Life, which assists families in Warren County caring for a child diagnosed with a serious illness; HEROES, which supports caregivers of individuals with exceptionalities and advocates for disability inclusion; and the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center, which provides a safe and supportive space for children who are victims of abuse.

“These organizations do life-changing work,” Andersen said. “We’re proud to support them this year and hope our community will rally behind them as well.”

The club is accepting new items and monetary donations for auction baskets. Pickups can be arranged by contacting a Young Mothers’ Study Club member, and donations are being collected through the first week of June. An auction workbee is scheduled for June 3, when members will assemble the themed baskets. Past auctions have included everything from luxury spa packages to family game night bundles.

For more than 80 years, the Young Mothers’ Study Club has been a hub for local moms to gather, grow, and give back. With monthly meetings, guest speakers, and community events, the club offers both support and service.

“This club is about connection – between mothers, families, and the community,” Andersen said. “The auction is our biggest event of the year, and it’s a reflection of what we value most: helping others and having fun while doing it.”

An open house is scheduled for early September for anyone interested in becoming a member. For more information or to make a donation, contact a YMSC member or follow the Young Mothers’ Study Club on social media.

Starting at $3.50/week.
