WCSD board approves service agreements

The Warren County School District board approved agreements for a number of services at its recent meeting.

An agreement with Brainfuse for online tutoring services was approved. The agreement provides for live tutoring service at a rate of $24 per hour for up to 1,000 hours. Live tutoring is available at agreed upon times. The program also provides asynchronous services around the clock.

The board approved an agreement with the National Student Clearinghouse to participate in its StudentTracker program. The program will allow tracking what district students did after graduation to evaluate post-secondary achievement and preparedness. The Clearinghouse maintains a database of college enrollment and degree, diploma, certificate and other academic achievement awards. The district will provide lists of graduates to be cross-checked with the database for evaluation. The agreement does not allow for dissemination of data related to the identity of an individual student. The base fee for the program is $595 per high school.

An agreement with Lifetouch for student IDs was approved.

An agreement with PowerSchool for a number of cloud-based educational support, information and notification software programs was approved at a total of $149,166.44. The agreement is for one year beginning in January.

A quote from IBM for its Cognos analytics system licenses, subscriptions, and support services was also approved.
