Residents, organizations honored for beautification efforts

The City of Warren honored local residents and organizations for their efforts to keep the city looking inviting.

Five City Beautification Awards were presented Thursday afternoon at Art Kelsey Park on Liberty Street.

Residential awards were given to Christine Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lyle and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mascaro. A non-profit award was given to Good News Community Church and a business award was given to BetterHelp.

City Parks, Recreation and Landscape Commission Chairperson Josie Gerardi presented the awards.

Award recipients were given a commendation with a picture of their property and a yard sign to display.

A luncheon followed award presentations.

The annual awards are given “to recognize city of Warren residents and businesses that put forth the effort to establish and maintain an attractive front lawn,” according to the city website.
