A PennDOT representative told the Times Observer Wednesday afternoon that the traffic circle could open later Wednesday if a mechanical issue with the paver could be remedied in time. If not, PennDOT says that the aim is to have the roundabout open by mid-day Thursday. There will still be flaggers and some restrictions as the work shifts to the next phase, which includes, among other things, a final layer of asphalt.
