The fountain at the point in downtown Warren is undergoing significant rehabilitation.

Staff with Robinson Iron out of Alabama are in town this week to do the work.

“It was about time” Warren City Manager Mike Holtz said. “(The fountain has) been around 15 years, 15 northwestern winters. It’s time to get some repairs (and) bring it back to life.”

A quote for the project totals $19,900 which includes staff travel and all the paint, primer and finish needed to rehabilitate the downtown icon.

Holtz said the work would take three or four days to complete and described the rehab work included as “routine.”

He added that the goal was to “have it done for the Fourth of July, which we’re going to make.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
