Beacon Light re-certified for trauma services

Beacon Light Behavioral Health System has been recognized by two regional organizations for its re-certification to provide trauma services.

A recognition ceremony was held on March 24 in Warren for Beacon Light by the Behavioral Alliance of Rural Pennsylvania and Community Care Behavioral Health Organization.

Beacon Light participated in the North Central Trauma Informed Care Initiative and exhibited “exemplary achievement” in completing the program.

“The concept that I like most is the staff at Beacon Light Behavioral Health System goes into every situation appreciating and understanding that each member’s needs are unique,” Guy Signore, president and CEO of Journey Health System. “The staff is able to build rapport quite easily.”

Beacon Light is an affiliate of Journey Health System.

According to a statement, the providers involved in the program “work to achieve expertise in trauma informed care, which involves trauma-specific treatment for individuals. They also create a trauma informed care culture within their organization.”
