A Warren man charged with indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old was taken to Warren County Jail on Monday.
Cleverson K. Knappenberger, 35, of Third Avenue, is charged with corruption of minors, indecent assault — less than 13 years of age, and indecent assault — without consent.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Knappenberger, on multiple occasions, touched the victim over the child’s clothing.
Knappenberger was arraigned Monday afternoon before District Judge Raymond Zydonik and taken to jail after failing to post $25,000 bail.
Zydonik placed additional bail restrictions on Knappenberger in the event that he makes bail — that he have no contact with alleged victims or witnesses and that he have no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Asked if he understood, Knappenberger said he was not clear about with whom he could not have contact. “I don’t know who it is,” he said.
A preliminary hearing is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7.
