Ellwood is accepting scholarship applications from seniors of the class of 2023 who are interested in pursuing mechatronics or a similar field.

“Ellwood is committed to awarding several $10,000 scholarships as part of the 2023 Industrial Maintenance Scholarship program as an investment in continued education to students throughout the communities in which Ellwood has a presence” including Warren County, according to Senior Communications Specialist Terry Rodgers.

Upon graduation, scholarship winners are also eligible to gain full employment through Ellwood’s Industrial Maintenance Development Program.

The company is accepting applications for the 2023 scholarship program.

“The program is a unique opportunity available to high school seniors and/or those who have successfully completed the GED test who plan to attend an accredited trade school, college or university following graduation,” Rodgers said.

“Mechatronics is a field of engineering that merges mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science,” he said. “Mechatronics specializes in robotics, control systems, and electro-mechanical systems and is an essential vocation in manufacturing.”

“Interested students are encouraged to visit ellwoodgroup.com/maintenance to apply and find out more information about the opportunity,” he said. “Completed applications are due no later than Monday, April 3, 2023, and winners of the 2023 scholarships will be selected by a committee and an announcement will be made shortly after.”
