The Free Family Fun Night Halloween Event at the Warren YMCA featured a costume contest, trick-or-treating, games, and a zombie zone.
“It’s great getting the community together – seeing all the kids in their costumes,” Youth and Family Sports Coordinator Andrew Papalia said. “It’s just about bringing joy to the community.”
Hundreds of young people went through the trick-or-treat area.
“Our trick-or-treat vendors are all community agencies and businesses,” Whole Health Wellness Coordinator Erin Wallace said.
“Thank you to all the vendors, volunteers, and YMCA staff,” Papalia said. “Without them, this wouldn’t be possible.”

He also offered a particular thank you to the Beaty-Warren Middle School Builders Club.
At the end of the night, judges presented awards to the winners of the pumpkin-decorating contest and the costume contest.
“It’s great this year,” Papalia said. “We couldn’t ask for a better turnout. We’ll continue to build it.”
