Community forum set for Friday night
A community forum is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church to explore how the community may be able to support Ukrainian refugees.
Pastor Jeff Ewing with First Luthern said the meeting will be streamed live via the church’s Facebook page.
The forum will allow attendees to “hear the stories of those who have already done such great things in providing relief for Ukrainian refugees and to consider ways the community can build on the already demonstrated success,” Pastor Tom Pierotti added.
“The whole community is encouraged to attend,” he said. “We are planning for a 90-minute event which will include time for others to respond to the stories of what has already been accomplished and to offer additional ideas and support in a great variety of ways.”
Pierotti asked people to come to “consider ways that you might be able to share in this tremendous life-changing work.”
