Easter egg hunt set at Betts for April 16

Volunteer emergency response is a type of community service.

Warren’s Junior Fire & EMS Explorer Post is learning that community service can also include over 1,000 plastic Easter eggs.

The Explorer Post has partnered with the Warren County Chamber of Business & Industry and the Housing Authority of Warren County to hold a community Easter Egg Hunt at Betts Park.

The event is set for Saturday, April 16, at noon, is free and is open to kids up to 12 years of age.

Savannah Casey said each child will be given one ticket for a drawing for a five pound chocolate Easter egg donated by Homer’s Subs & More. She explained there are also age decisions — 0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 – for the hunt.

“We’d like to thank Shurfine for their donation of 300 Reese’s Easter eggs,” Casey said, as well as Donna Caito for donating over plastic eggs and “Nancy Bullock for her time and effort helping to stuff over a 1,000 plastic eggs.”

Multiple vendors will also be at the park on the day of the event.

Starting at $4.00/week.
