Several inches of snow in forecast
Heavy weather expected to arrive late Friday could last through this evening.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for 7 p.m. Friday through 7 p.m. on Saturday, for Warren, McKean, Elk, and Cameron counties.
The warning is calling for 5 to 7 inches of snow accumulation over the 24-hour period.
“Travel could be very difficult,” according to the National Weather Service. “Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.”
“The snow will be heaviest overnight, but lighter snow will continue for the rest of the day on Saturday,” according to the warning.
