Library helping public get into holiday spirit

The Warren Public Library is holding an event to help get people into the spirit of the season, plus giving them a chance to win a Rudolph gift basket.

“Another year has gone by and Mrs. Claus is still not able to make her yearly visit to the Warren Public Library,” said Children’s Librarian Susan Slater. “Instead, her elves made eight different recordings of her sharing holiday stories and such.”

Those recordings will be posted one at a time on the library’s Facebook page. Once a video is posted, it will stay up through Dec. 17.

Anyone is welcome to just watch the videos.

Children ages 2 through 12 who watch the videos may download the Crystal Claus’ Corner Content form — www.warrenlibrary.org under events for children — or pick one up at the library lobby, write down the title of each book and the magic Christmas word Mrs. Claus mentions during the recording for a chance to win the huge Rudolph gift basket of a $25 gift card. Entries may be sent my email or delivered to Slater’s desk.

Forms must be submitted by 8 p.m. Dec. 20.
