New signs installed at Warren General

Photo submitted to Times Observer A new sign directs visitors and patients around Warren General Hospital.

Warren General Hospital has some new signage.

The signs are lighted at night and help visitors and others navigate the facility’s new entrance designations.

Under the old system, the hospital’s entrances were lettered.

They are now numbered — except for the emergency entrance, which retains its E.

Emergency responders have been notified of the changes, according to Director of Marketing and Business Development George Lilja.

The changes are also generating questions from the public and the hospital wants to clear those up.

The main entrance, formerly F, is now Main Entrance 1.

Entrance A is now 2, B is 3, C is 4, and D is 5.

The new signs do more than indicate the name of the entrances — they also indicate which medical offices are most easily accessed through them, Lilja said.
