Dance Express has successful finale

The group of 27 dancers performed 29 dances ranging in styles from Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre and received adjudications of 5 Star Elite, 5 Star, 4 3/4 Stars, numerous overalls and first in categories. Special dance scholarship awards were presented to dancers: Avery Carr, Izzy McMonigal, and Rocco Siliano. Peyton Chuzie received the special judge’s award “Passion Plus” for her Lyrical solo. The Mini Level dancers received the “Excellence In Tap” and “Entertainment Award” in the 11 & Under age level for their Tap routine “Kids In America” choreographed by Carly Davies.
The Elite Level dancers received a “Choreography Award”, “Technique Award”, 1st overall, and SDA Champion level 3 in the 12 & Over age level for their Jazz routine “Come Together” choreographed by Molly Dies-Geer & Brea Poston, along with SDA Champion level 2 age 15-19 and 1st overall for their Lyrical routine “This Is Our Time” choreographed by Madison Bezon. Rocco Siliano walked away with the coveted “Title” of “Mr. Imagine”, “Technique Award” and 1st overall in level 3 soloists aged 15-19.
Izzy McMonigal received 2nd runner-up for “Miss Imagine”. The Whole Company Jazz routine, “Yankee Doodle Dandy” received the SDA Champion level 2 age 12-14 award along with 1st overall. Sister duo, Kaylynn & Korah Bosko received 1st overall in their age/level category for their Lyrical duet and the Junior Level dancers received 1st overall for their Tap routine “Freedom”. The whole company, including both dancers and teachers, received Imagine’s
Sportsmanship and Kindness award entitled “Kindness For Trevor”.

“We are so proud of our dancers every time they dance on any stage! Regardless of their score, placement, or adjudication, to see them take to the stage and perform their best, watch them treat others with kindness and grace, and all the laughs and memories in between, is the real award!” said Molly Dies-Geer, director. “We truly just love to watch them DANCE! It’s been a very fun journey this year.”
The 2026-2027 registration opens June 15 for the Dance Unlimited recreational classes.
For their last competition of the dance season, Molly Dies’ Dance Express attended Imagine National Dance Competition Memorial Day weekend in Erie at the Bayfront Convention Center.
