28 new COVID cases, 1 death reported in Warren County

There were 28 new cases of COVID-19 in Warren County on Thursday, bringing the total to 4,094.

There were also 35 new cases on Wednesday.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health added another death to the county’s COVID toll on Friday, bringing that total to 125.

According to the department, there were 17 cases in children ages 5 to 18 between Oct. 20 and Oct. 26, and six among children under the age of 5 in that same time.

Since Aug. 16, there have been 32 cases among children under 5 and 211 cases among those from 5 to 18.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Warren County remains an area of high community transmission.

Vaccine rates were up in the county over the past two days.

On Wednesday, the department reported that 2,302 county residents were partially vaccinated and 15,632 were fully vaccinated. On top of that, 832 residents had received booster doses.

As of Friday’s report, 63 more people had been fully vaccinated, 92 had received their first doses, and 410 more had received boosters, bringing that total to 1,242.
