Scouts visit Crary Gallery for badges

From along the reservoir to Along the River.
Scouts from the Chief Cornplanter Council BSA visited the Crary Art Gallery on July 14.
Eight Scouts and three counselors explored the current show – Along the River – as part of the requirements of earning an art merit badge.
Artists Wendy and Bill Bale presented an informational video to the Scouts.
The show features charcoal scenes and wood sculptures inspired by riparian buffers. It will remain at the gallery through Aug. 1.
The gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
Local Scouts attended Scout Camp at Camp Olmsted rising up from the western shore of the Allegheny Reservoir this week.
