Bail revoked for pair facing drug charges

Bail has been revoked in the case of a man and woman who were busted twice in three months for selling meth at different Warren County hotels.

During a Friday hearing, President Judge Maureen Skerda revoked bail for Johnathan E. Crowell, 39, of Meadville, and Ashley R. Vickery, 35, of Hazel Street, Warren.

In March, Crowell and Vickery were each charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver; possession of a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; and criminal use of a communications facility; and Vickery was also charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana; after police searched a room at Quality Inn that had been rented by Crowell and allegedly recovered about 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine.

In June, police found about 4 ounces of meth at Budget Lodge in rooms where Vickery and Crowell were staying. Each was charged with an additional count of possession with intent to deliver.

Skerda granted the prosecution’s petition to revoke bail in each case.

“Since bail was conditioned upon no further criminal activity and new charged were bound over, bail is revoked,” she said.
