Endangering the Welfare of Children. Dakota Hepler-Kostreba, 24, of Warren, received additional charges on Friday, October 18, of endangering the welfare of children and simple assault following further investigation.

Retail Theft. Wanda Streit, 60, of Sheffield, was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property on Tuesday, October 22, after officers responded to a report of a past-tense theft.

Theft by Unlawful Taking. Austen Thomas, 21, of Warren, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property on Tuesday, October 22, following an investigation into a stolen bicycle.

Possession. Carli Braine, 33, of Warren, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on Thursday, October 24, after they were called to assist adult probation.

Chautauqua Co.

Cruelty to animals. Samantha Rizzo, of Panama, N.Y., formerly of Sugar Grove, was found guilty by District Justice Laura Bauer of one count of cruelty to animals on Oct. 23, for failure to provide veterinary care.

Cruelty to animals. Nathan Manhart, Jamestown, N.Y., formerly of Sugar Grove, was found guilty by District Justice Raymond Zydonik of one court of cruelty to animals for the abandonment of two dogs.
