Tidioute Life

Photo submitted to Times Observer Tidioute Community Charter School’s 7th and 8th Grade STEM class used a Kinex project to learn the essential components of STEM. STEM is an acronym standing for cross-curricular learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The amusement park shown was constructed to measure many concepts in distance, speed, mass, and velocity. Bridge building was used to learn concepts in STEM as well, such as tension, torsion, and compression. These hands-on projects prove to place students at a much higher level of thinking. Tim Lewis (Single Student) won the end of the year building competition for the 207-2018 school year.
