TAHDC, Inc. Meeting

The board of directors of the Tidioute Area Health and Dental Center, Inc., met on Oct. 21 for its regularly scheduled meeting.

A representative of Warren General Hospital was in attendance and presented an explanation of how it plans to staff the Health and Dental Center with the resignation of Beth Davis, CRNP. A temporary CRNP will begin the first week of November and accept patients on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Dr. Levari is exploring ways so that he might be able to provide coverage on Mondays and Fridays, but this is not definite yet. Warren Medical Group is still in the process of trying to hire a permanent Nurse Practitioner for the center. There are not a lot of prospects out there as they just don’t want to come to a rural area such as ours.

The regular business meeting followed. Secretary’s minutes and treasurer’s report were read and approved. Information was shared regarding a possible new board member and everyone was asked to see if they could recruit one more board Member.

A decision was approved by the board to purchase a dedication plaque for the new parking lot. Sandy Jamieson volunteered to find information and present it to the board at a later date.

It was also brought up that the new parking lot has a few dings along the wall facing Buckingham Street due to the front and/or rear bumpers of cars and trucks pulling too close. The board will look into getting car stops for that area of the lot.

The next meeting will be held on Jan. 20, weather permitting, and if there are enough board members to have a quorum.
