Warren man killed in Wednesday morning crash

A Wednesday morning accident on Route 62 in Pine Grove Twp. claimed the live of a Warren man Bryan C. Steele, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County coroner. The incident occurred south of South Main Street just after 6:45 a.m. Troopers say in a statement released Wednesday afternoon that Steele was "walking on SR 62 in the center of the roadway" when he was struck by a 2009 Toyota Highlander that was traveling south. Man wanted locally nabbed in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN -- A city man who was wanted in Warren County has been nabbed. Jamestown Police report that before 4 a.m. Tuesday, officers were patrolling in the area of the 7-Eleven on East Second Street and observed the 23-year-old resident Dakota M. Proestler entering the store. Proestler had known warrants from the city of Jamestown and a warrant from the Warren County Sheriff's Office for retail theft. The Conewango Township Police Department is looking for help in tracking down a stolen truck. The truck, a white 2014 Ford F-150, Pennsylvania plate ZMT-8977, and the company logo and name on the doors, was taken from Snell Landscape Services in North Warren between 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, and 7 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22.
