Preliminary hearings held in county courthouse

Several cases were resolved during preliminary hearings held on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following defendants entered guilty pleas:

¯ Ronald D. Clever, Youngsville, to possession of drug paraphernalia.

¯ Jacob J.L. Klein, Erie, to disorderly conduct — engage in fighting and public drunkenness. Charges of intoxicated pedestrian causing hazard and pedestrian walk too closely to roadway were withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following individuals:

¯ Dennis L. Wedge, Warren. Wedge had been charged with strangulation and simple assault. Two counts of harassment were re-categorized as non-traffic offenses.

¯ Justine R. Lasecki, Warren. Lasecki had been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of disregard traffic lane was re-categorized as a traffic offense.

¯ William J. Moore, Sheffield, was held for court. Moore has been charged with three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of marijuana — small amount personal use, driving licenses suspended related to DUI, driving an unregistered vehicle, failure to obtain inspection of a vehicle transporting school children and possession of firearm prohibited.
