Harassment. City of Warren police reported that Ruth Walter, 62, Warren, was cited for harassment on Oct. 26 after police responded to a report of an argument that turned physical.

Possession of drug paraphernalia. City of Warren police reported that Cory Burns, 29, Olean, NY, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness on Oct. 27 after police received a report of a suspicious person.

Crash. City of Warren police reported that Meghan McIntyre, 22, Warren, was cited for following too closely on Oct. 27 following a 3 car accident at the intersection of Pennsylvania Ave. and East St.

Crash. City of Warren police reported that Karen Davidson, 65, Warren, was cited for required position and method of turning on Oct. 27 following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hickory St. and Fourth Ave.

Retail theft. City of Warren police reported that David Cox, 26, Warren, was cited for two separate retail thefts on October 24 when he was found to be removing items from his place of employment in the amount of $10.69. During that investigation, he was found in possession of items stolen from another retailer in the amount of $7.25.

DUI. City of Warren police reported that Damien Horner, 43, Warren, was charged with DUI: Highest rate of alcohol, first offense, careless driving and accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle and property on Oct. 29 following an investigation into a hit and run accident on Sept. 12.

Deerfield Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between Oct. 11 and Oct. 24 someone gained access to a camp on Erie Hollow Dr., belonging to William Loomis and William Ion, both of Erie, and caused damage to a water pump, rendering it inoperable. Police said the investigation continues.

Pine Grove Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that on Oct. 29 between 7 a.m. and 6:40 p.m. someone entered a residence belonging to Marilla Elvia Norton, 64, Russell, located on Cider Mill Hill Rd. through a side door. Once inside, the suspect(s) proceeded to rummage through drawers, dresser and cabinets throughout the house and succeeded in taking several pieces of gold jewelry and a tan colored lock box containing an unknown amount of various era coins and personal documents. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers. Police said the investigation is pending.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police report that sometime between 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 and 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 27, someone pried the lock-hasp off of a Pepsi machine located near the entrance of the Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Department, then fled the scene. Conewango Twp.

Bad checks. Conewango Township Police report that on Oct. 27 they received a complaint of a bad check that was written to Ekey’s’ Florist in September. Police said Jeffrey Greer, 52, Falconer, N.Y., failed to make good on the check after proper notice, and a non-traffic citation has been filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Crash. Conewango Township Police report that at 6:02 p.m. on Oct. 27, officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 924 Follett Run Road. A known 19-year-old male was traveling westbound on Follett Run Road and his vehicle left the north side of the roadway, striking a driveway culvert and a concrete walkway before coming to rest. Police said citations were issued for restraint systems and prohibited text-based communications. The driver’s name was not released by police.

Sheffield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police report that at 5:24 a.m. on Oct. 27, Lee A. Hulings, 32, Kane, was traveling westbound in a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer on Route 6 in the area of the 4000 block when he struck a deer in the roadway. Airbags deployed, and he lost control and came to rest facing north in the eastbound lane. Two minutes later, Robin L Copley, 53, Sheffield, who was traveling eastbound in a 2014 Ford F-150, struck Hulings’ vehicle in the nine o’clock position. Police said Hulings, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was airlifted to Hamot Medical Center, Erie, with moderate injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and Hulings was cited with failure to travel at a safe speed. Sheffield volunteer firefighters and Emergycare assisted at the scene.

Found firearm. Warren-based state police report that at approximately 5:55 p.m. on Oct. 26, a firearm was recovered on National Forge Road. The owner may contact the state police with a description to claim the property.

Pine Grove Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police report that sometime between 4 and 5:40 p.m. on Oct. 26, someone stole a Ruger Red Label over and under 12-gauge shotgun from the State Game Lands on Akeley Road. Pleasant Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police report that sometime between Oct. 12 and Oct. 20, someone stole an Old Town Vapor 10-foot kayak, orange to red in color, from Chapman State Park. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 728-3600 or Crimestoppers at 800-832-7463.

Youngsville Borough

Criminal mischief. Youngsville Borough Police report that sometime between 3 p.m. on Oct. 25 and noon of Oct. 26, someone damaged a red Ford truck in the parking lot of Huey’s Place. Police said the truck was damaged in nine different spots by a small blunt object or a BB gun. Simple assault. Youngsville Borough Police are charging a 16-year-old female juvenile for assaulting a staff member at Beacon Light on Oct. 26. Police said it was reported that the juvenile had made threats to the staff member, and acted upon those threats by punching one female staff member in the head. Charges are being filed through the Juvenile Probation Office.

Theft. Daleanna Wightman, 18, Warren, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and theft by deception on Oct. 14 following an investigation into a theft of money from her employer.

Endangering the welfare of children. Coleen Vignere, 38, Warren, was charged with endangering the welfare of children and leaving an unattended child in a motor vehicle following an incident on Oct. 23, where her 5-year old child was found wandering in a parking lot and an infant child had been left unattended in a vehicle in the same parking lot.

Public drunkenness. Rodney Wilkins, 34, Warren, was cited for public drunkenness on Oct. 24 after police received a report of an unconscious male.

Corruption of minors. Warren City Police said Sage Anderson, 18, Warren, was charged with corruption of minors and possession of marijuana on Oct 12 following an investigation.

Assault and harassment. John Eldridge III, 48, Warren, was charged with simple assault and harassment on Oct 12 after city police received a report of a past-tense domestic dispute.

Brokenstraw

Twp.

Control of alarm devices. At 8:19 a.m. on Oct. 24, Warren-based state police issued a citation to Dairy Queen for having more than three false alarms in 12 consecutive months. There have been four false alarms there in the past 12 months, police said.

Criminal trespass, assault and harassment. Warren-based state police report that at 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 24, troopers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at 13 Carriage Drive. They determined that Derrick Allen Shirley, 25, had assaulted his girlfriend by throwing her to the ground several times. Police said the victim sought refuge inside the home of a friend; the accused forced entry into the residence and assaulted two residents and a known female juvenile. Police said Shirley was taken into custody, arraigned with criminal trespass, simple assault and harassment and placed in the Warren County Jail.

Columbus Twp.

DUI crash. Warren-based state police report that at 5:49 p.m. on Oct. 24, William Joseph Posker, 68, was traveling east on Route 6 in a 2004 Toyota Tundra when he attempted to make a left-hand turn. A 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier traveling west, operated by a 17-year-old female, struck Posker’s vehicle in the passenger side rear tire. During the investigation, Posker was found approximately 200 yards from the scene of the accident and to be under the influence of alcohol. Police said he was charged with DUI through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office. No injuries were reported.

Conewango Twp.

Retail theft. Conewango Township Police report that at 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 23, WalMart loss prevention personnel witnessed Seneca Cox and Abraham Millham intentionally concealing $37.52 worth of merchandise into Millham’s jacket and then attempt to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. Police said they subsequently charged Cox and Millham with one count of summary retail theft each for the violation.

Farmington Twp.

Harassment. Warren-based state police report that at 8 p.m. on Oct. 19, Paul David Kocur, 57, Sugar Grove, subjected a known 89-year-old female to physical contact following a verbal disagreement at a Lanning Hill residence. Police said after the altercation, the accused proceeded to destroy personal property belonging to the victim while inside the residence. During that time frame, the victim left the residence and called for assistance. Police said when troopers arrived, Kocur refused to cooperate with commands and was subsequently taken into custody after initially resisting officers on scene. He was placed into the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment. Charges of resisting arrest or other law enforcement, harassment, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct were filed against Kocur through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office. He was arraigned on Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. before District Justice Glenn Carlson, and bail was set at $10,000. Kocur was unable to post bail, and was remanded to the Warren County Jail.

Limestone Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police report that sometime between Jan. 1, 2015, and Oct. 22 someone took a tree stand without the owner’s consent. The tree stand was found a short distance from where he had placed it. The victim was able to positively identify his property, and the tree stand was recovered. Police said the investigation continues.

Possession of marijuana. A 15-year-old juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Oct. 12 following an investigation by city police.

Theft. City of Warren Police are looking for information on the theft of a trailer that was taken from Ace Hardware. Trailer was last seen on Saturday, Oct. 17. It is a 16-foot, gray in color with two prop gate ramps flat bed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the City of Warren Police at 723-2700.

Farmington Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police report that sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 22 someone entered a residence on Townline Road through a doggie door, searched closets and drawers, broke a glass china cabinet and took several items of gold jewelry. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police.

Burglary. Warren-based state police report that sometime between noon on Sept. 20 and 6:50 p.m. on Sept. 29 someone forced entry into a victim’s property through a garage window at 6300 Jackson Run Rd. While inside the residence, the suspect(s) used an unknown tool to remove a section of a drywall ceiling and removed several pieces of copper piping in addition to a copper faucet from a utility sink.

Sugar Grove

Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police report that at 5:06 p.m. on Oct. 22, Charles J. Fox, 73, Pittsfield, was traveling west on Hazeltine Valley Road on a 2008 Sportsman ATV at approximately 25 mph when he hit a button releasing a winch cable on the front of the vehicle. The cable wrapped around the right front wheel, causing the ATV to roll onto its side and slide for approximately 30 feet. Fox, who was not wearing a helmet, was flown to UPMC Hamot, Erie, with unknown injuries. Police said he will be charged with failure to operate a vehicle in a safe manner. Youngsville volunteer firefighters and Emergycare assisted.

Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Eric Ray Pierce, 45, Centerville, Pa. at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 on a bench warrant for failure to appear for Fines and Costs Court. He was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail awaiting further court action.

Columbus Twp.

Criminal mischief. Corry-based state police reported that sometime between 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 6 a.m. on Oct. 21 someone scratched a Dodge Dakota with a blunt object belonging to Larry B. Saxman, Corry.

Pine Grove Twp.

Burglary. State police report that sometime between 8:10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on Oct. 21, someone forcibly gained entry into a residence on Route 957 and stole a Marlin .22 caliber bolt action with a scope, a Smith & Wesson 12 guage shotgun, a Remington 30-06 bolt action with scope, a Winchester 30-30 lever action with scope, a Remington 12 gauge 870 shotgun, a Sentry safe containing numerous personal items and miscellaneous collectible coins, a HP Pavillion 17-inch notebook computer and miscellaneous jewelry. Disorderly conduct. State police report that between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 21, Douglas Burge of Russell allegedly yelled threatening statements at a victim and others while pointing a red laser light in their direction, prompting multiple calls to 911. Burge was cited for disorderly conduct through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Criminal mischief. Corry-based state police reported that sometime between 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 11 someone arrived at a residence of a known 79-year-old male, Corry, and broke his flag pole bracket and broke a tree limb. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Disorderly conduct. Warren-based state police responded to a disorderly student complaint on Oct. 20 at 12:05 p.m. at Eisenhower Middle High School that resulted in a known 16-year-old female being charged with disorderly conduct through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Pine Grove Twp.

Criminal trespass. Warren-based state police reported that between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 Harry Senyo, Jr., Warren, reported to police that two subjects were observed trespassing on his posted property. Youngsville

Disorderly conduct. Youngsville High School officials reported to Youngsville Borough Police on Oct. 7 that a 16-year-old female student became disorderly and disruptive in the main office area by yelling obscenities at other students and staff. She was warned several times to lower her voice but continued her behavior and threatened to punch another student. Police said a citation was filed with District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office.

Disorderly conduct. Youngsville High School officials reported to Youngsville Borough Police that on Oct. 8 a 16-year-old female student was disorderly and disruptive on a school bus while in transport with other students. Police said the bus driver determined he needed to return the bus and students to the school for his safety and that of the others. Police said the incident is under investigation.

Warren

Harassment. Warren City Police said Jasmine Lindgren, 19, Warren was cited for harassment and underage drinking and Trevor Snyder, 21, Warren, was cited for harassment on Oct. 12 after officers responded to a domestic dispute.

Retail theft. Warren City Police said a 15-year-old was cited for retail theft on Oct. 13 after officers were called to a report that he entered a local convenience store and removed $1.98 worth of merchandise.

PFA violation. Warren City Police said Harry Snyder, 56, Warren, was charged with a violation of a court order on Oct. 13 following an incident where he violated a protection from abuse order.

Theft. Warren City Police said Darcy Manross, 51, Clarendon, was charged with theft by unlawful taking after police received a report that she had stolen $35 from her employer on Oct. 14.

Harassment. Warren City Police said Gilbert Shirley, 51, Warren, was cited for harassment on Oct. 14 after officers responded to a domestic dispute.

Pedestrian struck. Warren City Police said Carl Leichtenberger, 76, Sheffield, was cited for right of way of pedestrians in crosswalks and careless driving following a traffic accident at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Market Street where a pedestrian was struck on Oct. 15.

Harassment. Warren City Police said two juveniles were cited with harassment on Oct. 15 following a fight at a city park.

Conewango Twp.

Theft. On October 2 a report of mislaid lottery voucher valued at $553.50 at The Rolling Express Tobacco in North Warren lead to an investigation finding that Zachary A. Peterson, 30, Warren, printed the mislaid voucher off of a lottery machine in the store and rook the voucher to the Bi-Lo in the City of Warren and cashed it. Subsequently, Conewango Township police have filed charges with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office for theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake.

Pine Grove Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Oct. 17 at 11:10 a.m. on Fox Hill Rd. east of Fox Fire Dr. A 2013 Ford Explorer driven by Betty M. Werner, 88, Russell, was traveling west on Fox Hill Rd. and crossed the center line of the roadway. A 2007 Ford Freestyle, driven by a 16-year-old male, Russell, was traveling east when Werner’s vehicle side-swiped it. Police said Werner sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Warren General Hospital by Russell VFD. The male was not injured. Police said Werner was cited for meeting vehicle proceeding in opposite direction.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Oct. 5 at 7:20 p.m. A 2010 Toyota Prius, drive by Carolle D. Christensen, 72, Jamestown, NY, was traveling north on Sr. 62 south of Swede Hill Road when a bear ran into the roadway and was struck. Police said Christensen and a passenger, 92-year-old John F. Christensen, also of Jamestown, were wearing seat belts and were not injured. Police said the bear went into the cornfield adjacent to the road. State police were assisted by Russell VFD and Bailey’s Towing.

Clarendon

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between 4 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 8 a.m. on October 8 someone spray painted obscene words and pictures on the slides and other playground equipment at Allegheny Valley Elementary School. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Erie Co.

Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested Charles E. Jackson, 35, Columbus, on a bench warrant for failure to appear for fines and costs court. Jackson was arrested by Corry-based Pennsylvania State Police on unrelated charges, who then released Jackson into the custody of the sheriff’s department, who said Jackson will stand committed to the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Chautauqua Co., NY

Vehicle pursuit. On Oct. 18 at approximately 6:55 p.m. Jamestown Police officers on routine patrol observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on W. 9th St. at Washington St. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over for the observed violation but the driver failed comply. The driver, later identified as Terrance L. Thomas, 57, of Jamestown, led police on a pursuit across the west side of the city where Thomas later lost control of his vehicle and ended up in the lawn of a residence on Sprague St. Thomas was also found to be in possession of a small quantity of cocaine. Thomas was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the city jail on charges of unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving, failure to comply with a lawful order and other vehicle and traffic law violations. Thomas was later remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

Pine Grove Twp.

Crash. The driver of one of two cars in a side-swipe crash at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, on Fox Hill Road in Pine Grove Township was injured and faces charges. According to Pennsylvania State Police, Betty M. Werner, 88, of Russell, was driving west on Fox Hill road and allegedly crossed the center line on a right hand curve. Werner’s vehicle side-swiped a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old boy, from Russell, who police did not identify. Police said Werner received a minor injury as a result of the crash and was charged with meeting vehicle proceeding in opposite direction.

Youngsville

Liquor law. Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement charged Down Under, 7 E. Main St., Youngsville, with a liquor law violation on Aug. 28. According to officers, a 20-year old was allowed to purchase an alcoholic beverage on March 25. Officers said Down Under was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, and comply with the requirements of the liquor code of the Responsible Alcohol Management Program, and remain in compliance for one year.

Chautauqua Co, NY

Stabbing investigation. Jamestown police responded to a stabbing incident at 2:08 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, in the area of 283 Fairmount Ave. Responding officers located a 23-year-old male victim at the scene who had sustained a stab wound to the chest. The victim was transported to WCA Hospital and was then later transferred to ECMC in Buffalo for treatment of his injuries. Investigators from the Jamestown Police Department have made an arrest in the incident and have charged Eric D. Barbee, 33, Jamestown, with assault. Police said Barbee has been arraigned and committed to the county jail.

Narcotics investigation. An ongoing investigation into the sales and trafficking of narcotics in the Jamestown area led investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the NYSP CNET to execute a search warrant on Oct.. 16 at 6 a.m. at 314-316 W. 4th St. in Jamestown. Entry was gained into the apartment with the assistance of the Jamestown Police Department SWAT team and, inside, investigators located Steven Edmund, 27, and Lorilynn Moriarty, 20, both of Jamestown. Investigators also located a quantity of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects are being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal using drug paraphernalia. Both are currently being held in the city jail and are awaiting arraignment. Police said the investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected.

Sheffield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on S. Main St. at the intersection with Route 6 on Oct. 11 at 11:15 a.m. According to police, a 2011 Ford Fusion, driven by Helene M. Mangold, 75, Sheffield, was traveling eastbound on S. Main St. approaching the intersection with Route 6, facing a steady red signal at the stop light. Police said Mangold failed to stop at the signal and proceeded to strike the railroad crossing light pole before continuing into the intersection, striking the embankment off the northbound shoulder of Route 6, where the vehicle came to rest. Sheffield VFD assisted with traffic control. Police said Mangold was transported to Warren General Hospital for the treatment of possible injuries and was cited for traffic control signals.

Watson Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Rt. 92, south of Thompson Island Lane, on Oct. 11 at 8:45 a.m. According to police, a 2013 Dodge Charger, driven by Victor A. Bravo, 20, Salamanca, N.Y., left the lane of travel after he fell asleep while driving. Police said the vehicle traveled off the shoulder and struck a boulder. After striking the boulder, the vehicle traveled back onto the shoulder continuing north. Bravo was not injured at the crash though he was cited for careless driving. Police said the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Warren County

Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Phillip J. Wagner, Sr., at approximately 5 p.m. Oct. 15 on a supervisor’s warrant for probation/parole violations. Wagner was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

McKean County

Prostitution/indecent assault. Kane-based state police reported that on Sept. 26 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. a known 16-year-old female, Smethport, was offered money in exchange for sexual favors. Police say Shawn Michael Pire, 44, Smethport, offered the victim money and also forced his hands under the victim’s shirt and touched her breast. Police said 33-year-old Theresa Pire, 33, Smethport, was informed of the allegation and failed to report it, even attempting to talk the victim out of reporting.

Theft. City of Warren Police are looking for information into the theft of three Firestone Supertraction skidder tires with rims that were stolen sometime during the night of Oct. 9 from Warren Fence Company, 214 West St. Anyone with information is asked to contact the City of Warren Police Department at 723-2700.

Simple assault. City of Warren police reported that Ross Peterson, 25, Warren, was charged with simple assault on Oct. 11 after police responded to a domestic dispute.

Harassment. City of Warren police reported that Traci Suleski, 30, Warren, was cited for harassment on Oct. 11 after officers responded to a domestic dispute.

Conewango Twp.

Fugitive from justice. Warren-based state police reported that on Oct. 13 at 3:25 p.m. Joshua Max Lambert, Warren, came to the Starbrick barracks on unrelated business and it was discovered that he was wanted on an active arrest warrant out of the state of North Carolina. The issuing agency confirmed the warrant and is making arrangements to extradite him back to North Carolina.

Bad checks. On Aug. 28 and 31, Brittany Dawn Sensenig, Ephrata, Pa., passed two separate checks at Fox’s Pizza in North Warren. Both checks that were passed were written on her personal bank account and totaled $97.52. Both checks were returned to Fox’s Pizza by Sensenig’s bank indicating that her account was closed and therefore the checks were not valid. Police subsequently charged Sensenig with two counts of summary bad checks for the violations.

Crawford County

Homicide. Pennsylvania State Police along with with Crawford County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against Dustin Adam Halsaver, 33, Meadville, in the death of his father, Kenneth Halsaver, Jr., 74, of Mercer Rd., Townville. Halsaver, Jr. failed to show up for work on Sept. 22 and was found by a family member. Dustin Halsaver was charged with one count of homicide along with numerous related charges stemming from the pursuit that ended in central Pennsylvania where state police took Halsaver into custody while in possession of the victim’s truck. The complaint alleges Halsaver who had been estranged from his family went to the residence and while there shot his father with a handgun and killed him. Halsaver then took the victim’s truck and was involved in a high-speed chase. Halsaver had been lodged in the Centre County Jail and was returned to Crawford County when he was arraigned on the charges. Halsaver was remanded to the Crawford County prison without bond. Theft of services. City of Warren police reported that Jeffrey Fields, 34, Warren, was charged with theft of services on Oct. 8 following an investigation into the illegal use of a dumpster.

Bad checks. City of Warren police reported that Brenda Knisley, 38, Warren, was charged with bad checks following an investigation into five checks that were returned not sufficient funds totaling $660.35 to the same business.

Harassment. City of Warren police reported that Katherine Byrne, 28, Warren, was cited for harassment and Kenny Trinidad Roman, 30, Warren, was cited for disorderly conduct after police responded to a harassment incident that occurred in the area of Poplar St. and Pennsylvania Ave.

Harassment. City of Warren police reported that Earnest Younce, 69, Warren, was cited with harassment on Oct. 10 after police responded to a report that he had struck a person known to him.

Conewango

Twp.

Hit and run. Conewango Township police have filed charges after an investigation into a hit and run at Northwest Savings Bank, 400 Jackson Run Rd., that occurred on Aug. 8. Police allege that Douglas S. Lawson Jr., 34, Warren, backed into an attended vehicle causing damage at the ATM drive through before leaving the scene. Police have charged Lawson with accidents involving damage to attended vehicle/property, duty to give information and render aid and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Southwest Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Oct. 10 at 4:53 a.m. on Tidioute-Enterprise Road, half a mile east of Route 27. Police said a known 17-year-old female from Frewsburg, N.Y., became distracted causing a 1996 Ford F150 to enter the ditch on the north side of the roadway, striking the embankment. Police said the vehicle proceeded to travel approximately 75 feet across both lanes of travel before entering the ditch on the south side of the roadway, where the vehicle struck a large rock causing the vehicle to flip over, coming to rest on its roof approximately 35 feet from the point of impact with the rock. Police said the driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Warren General Hospital by the Grand Valley VFD. A passenger, 27-year-old Wayne E. Burnside, Titusville, was not injured. Police cited the driver with careless driving.

Retail theft. On Oct. 10 at 4:31 p.m., Conewango Township police officers were dispatched to Walmart for a retail theft. Upon arrival, police met with Loss Prevention personnel, who stated that Syndi L. Friedman, Warren, did not scan several items at the self-checkout. Police said Friedman was charged with one count summary retail theft. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer pending further court action.

Spring Creek Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Mickle Hill Road, west of Torpedo Road, on Oct. 9 at 8:07 p.m. According to police, a 2006 Toyota XA, drive by Bonnie L. Hunter, 59, Meadville, was traveling west on Mickle Hill Road when a deer entered the roadway from the north side. Hunter swerved to miss the deer and struck a ditch on the south side of the road. The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene. Police said Hunter suffered minor injuries but refused treatment. Garland and Spring Creek volunteer firefighters assisted on scene with EMS and traffic control services.

Sugar Grove

Probation violation. On Oct. 9, officers of the Warren County Adult Probation Department made contact with Carl Eric Brown, 26, Ashville, N.Y., as he arrived for work at his place of employment in Sugar Grove. Probation officers discovered that Brown was in possession of heroin and hypodermic needles. Brown was taken into custody on a supervisor’s warrant and committed to the Warren County Jail pending further court action. The heroin found in Brown’s possession was turned over to Pennsylvania State Police, who advised probation officers that new charges would be filed. Brown had originally been placed on probation on the charge of criminal trespass/entering a structure.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on Sept. 26 at 2:49 a.m. a traffic stop was initiated in the area of Hemlock Road and Pennsylvania Avenue on a vehicle belonging to Donald Lee Haight, 22, Warren. Police said Haight was found to be driving under the influence and that charges were filed through District Justice Glenn Carlson’s office.

Glade Twp.

Possession of drug paraphernalia. Warren-based state police reported that on Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. a known 14-year-old male, Warren, was found on Warren Area High School property to be in possession of an electronic vaping pipe containing suspected marijuana residue while on school property. Police said the investigation is continuing.

Warren City Police said Amber Caudill, 30, Warren, was charged with DUI, DUI traffic accident, DUI highest rate, registration and certificate of title required, drivers required to be licensed, operating a vehicle without financial responsibility and careless driving following a two- vehicle accident on Pennsylvania Avenue on Sept. 29.

Cited. Warren City Police said John Soderberg, 40, Warren, was cited for retail theft on Oct. 5 after police received a report that he had removed $2.99 worth of merchandise from a local convenience store without paying for it.

Charged. Warren City Police said Chalise Hebner, 39, Pittsfield, was charged with bad checks following an investigation on Oct 7.

Charged. Warren City Police said John Johnson, 52, Warren, was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize and recklessly endangering another person following a domestic dispute on Oct. 5. Police said he was placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment.

Charged. Warren City Police said Brandon Hostovich, 35, Warren, was charged with furnishing drug-free urine use or attempt on Oct. 6 after police were contacted by the Warren County Probation Department.

Cited. Warren City Police said Mac Himes, 18, Clarendon, was cited for following too closely on Oct. 6 following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Dartmouth Street.

Brokenstraw Twp.

Harassment. State police reported that at 6:56 p.m. on Sept. 29, two known males, ages 23 and 44, entered into an altercation that resulted in physical contact in the 44-year old’s front yard on Abraham Hollow Road. Both claimed that they were assaulted, and both were charged with harassment through District Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office. Police did not release the names of the individuals.

Columbus Twp.

Access device fraud. State police reported that a woman on Plank Road in Columbus Township had her debit card fraudulently charged by Box Support-Computer Support and Services sometime between midnight on Aug. 12 and. midnight on Sept. 1.

Pine Grove Twp.

Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported that at approximately noon on Oct. 8, deputies arrested an 18-year old male on Route 957 on a warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear for court. He was placed in the Warren County Jail pending further court action. Police did not release his name.

Youngsville

Borough

Theft. State police reported that sometime between 2:54 p.m. on Oct. 1 and 10:14 p.m. on Oct. 5, a package containing a cell phone was taken from 23 Homestead Drive in Youngsville. Erie County

Possession of drug paraphernalia. State police reported that at 3:14 p.m. on Oct. 7, Kristal Renee Whitmore, 26, Warren, was arrested by troopers from PSP Corry in Corry for warrants from Warren County. A search after the arrest found drug paraphernalia inside her backpack. Charges will be filed through District Justice Carol Southwick’s office in Union City.

Parole violation. Warren County Adult Probation reported that officers of the probation department, with the assistance of corrections officers at the Warren County Jail, arrested Christina Marie Meals, 44, Warren, on Oct. 5 after corrections officers discovered plans made by Meals to bring contraband materials to an inmate while the inmate was performing work-detail activities. Video surveillance images captured Meals leaving the contraband near a work site. Meals, who was originally placed on parole on a charge of retail theft, was arrested on a supervisor’s warrant and committed to the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Probation violation. On Oct. 6, Officers of the Warren County Adult Probation Department, with the assistance from Warren County Sheriff’s deputies and Warrren City Police officers, arrested Brandon Michael Hostovich, 35, Warren, on charges of probation violation. Hostovich reported as directed to the probation department and supplied a urine sample to his probation officer for drug screening. After receiving the sample, officers discovered a contraption with urine residue concealed on Hostovich’s body. The first sample tested negative for the presence of controlled substances, while the second tested positive for a variety of controlled substances.

Warrant arrest. Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mat A. Yonkofski, 37, Erie, on a bench warrant for failure to appear for Fines and Costs Court. He is incarcerated in the Warren County Jail awaiting further court action.

Brokenstraw Twp.

Harassment. State police reported that at 3:47 p.m. on Sept. 19, Mark D. Cox, 51, Columbus approached a known 35-year old victim inside the community garage area of Pleasant Valley Trailer Park, confronted the victim and began yelling that he was going to kill the victim. A citation has been filed through Distric Justice Arthur Zerbe’s office against Cox charging him with harassment.

Pleasant Twp.

Simple assault. State police reported that at 8:10 a.m. on Oct. 7, Myron Arden Yaegle, 91, Pleasant Township, entered a verbal argument with a known 54 -year old female and a known 87-year old female at a private residence on Zimmerman Hill Road which escalated when Yaegle armed himself with a firearm and made threats to victim one. Yaegle was taken into custody and arraigned before District Justice Laura Bauer.

Sheffield Twp.

Crash. State police reported that at 1:35 p.m. on Oct. 6, Timothy G. Schneider, 33, Sheffield, was traveling east on Route 6 in a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic near Sheffield Area Middle-High School when a phantom deer entered the south edge of the roadway. Schneider swerved to avoid the deer, lost control and struck the guide rail. His vehicle came to rest facing west in the westbound lane. He was given a warning for failure to drive a vehicle at a safe speed.

Busti

DWI. The Lakewood-Busti Police Department reported that at 2:37 a.m. on Oct. 3, officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed for zone travel across the center yellow lines of the roadway, and the white hazard markings. Casey J. Barton was found to be operating the vehicle, and he was allegedly found to be intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, speed in zone, failure to keep right and driving across hazard markings. He was arraigned in the Town of Busti Court and bail was set.

Theft. State police report that sometime between Sept. 26 and Oct. 3 someone stole a Guide Gear Laddder stand, two Primos Easy Game Cameras and a Covert A5 Game Camera, with a total value of $390, from a wooded area near Mead Run Road. Aggravated assault. State police reported that at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Oct.3, Clifford Adams, 44, Youngsville, while traveling south on Thatchers Lane, intentionally drove his vehicle into the opposite lane and struck a known female victim, who was driving north. Adams left the scene and was apprehended a short time later. He was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and multiple vehicle code violations, through District Justice Arthure Zerbe’s office. Adams was placed in the custody of the Warren County Jail, pending an emergency arraignment on Oct 5.

Farmington Twp.

Simple assault. State police reported that they are investigating an assault between two juveniles that occured at 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Eisenhower High School during the football game.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that at 12:23 a.m. on Oct. 2, a known 20-year-old male, Sheffield, was observed committing traffic violations in the area of US 6 east of Rt. 948. Police said the defendant was arrested for DUI and charges were filed with District Justice Glenn Carlson’s office. Police did not identify the name of the defendant.

Sugar Grove

Structure fire. Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department and several other fire departments responded to what was a fully-involved structure fire upon arrival at 5640 Page Hollow Rd. in Sugar Grove early Friday evening. A firefighter from Sugar Grove said a sawmill at that address was deemed a total loss. No injuries were reported. In addition to Sugar Grove, firefighters from Wrightsville, Bear Lake, Youngsville, Garland, Starbrick and Busti, N.Y., responded, and several agencies provided standby backup.

Eldred Twp.

Theft. State police report that sometime between July 28 and Sept. 1, someone entered a property on Mickle Hill Road and removed items from the yard of the residence.

Conewango Twp.

Burglary. Ed Shults of Warren reported to Conewango Township police that between 2 p.m. on Sept. 26 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 28 one of their buildings was broken into. Stolen were 36 new tires of various sizes valued at $4,666.40 along with $200 worth of damages to the building. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Attempted scam. Conewango Township police were contacted by a township resident who had received a solicitation via the U.S. Postal Service for entry into “The League,” which promised to provide secrets to changing your life at no charge. Further investigation revealed that it is a scam that will ultimately require a financial contribution.

Crash. Conewango Township police responded to a crash at 5154 Jackson Run Rd. on Sept. 25 at 4:12 p.m. Police said a juvenile male fell asleep at the week of a 2004 Toyota Avalon while he was traveling east on Jackson Run Rd. As a result the vehicle veered off the right hand berm of the roadway and collided with the mailbox at 5154 Jackson Run Rd. Police said the mailbox was severely damaged by the impact and the vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side body, including a flat tire and was towed from the scene by PennMark Towing Service. Police said no one was injured as a result of the crash.

Criminal mischief. Conewango Township police were called on Sept. 22 to the N. Warren Presbyterian Church in reference to vandalism to the community pavilion picnic tables located between Church St. and School St. After the picnic tables had been refurbished, someone wrote on the picnic tables with a permanent marker. Stoneburg, Dubois, Pa., concealed $105.04 worth of merchandise without first paying for the items. Stoneburg is being charged with one misdemeanor count of retail theft and charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office pending further court action.

Upon arrival, police met with loss prevention and stated that Eric Lee Wayt, Dubois, Pa., concealed $105.04 worth of merchandise without first paying for the items. Wayt is being charged with one misdemeanor count of retail theft and charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office pending further court action.

Aggravated assault. Conewango Township police were called to a residence in Starbrick in reference to a domestic dispute involving personal injury on Sept. 29 at 7:55 a.m. Following an investigation by police, Christopher Lendvay, 36, Starbrick, was taken into custody and charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Lendvay was ten remanded to the Warren County Jail for failure to post bail in the amount of $50,000.

Crash. Conewango Township police were called to a crash in front of Kwik Fill at the Warren Mall on Sept. 29 at 4:30 p.m. Thomas R. Eaton, Clarendon, exited the Kwik Fill intending to travel south on Rt. 62 and drove into the path of a northbound vehicle. No injuries were reported. Eaton, also operating a motor vehicle with a suspended Pa. driver’s license, was found at fault for failing to yield the right of way. Traffic citations for driving while suspended and entering or crossing a roadway have been filed against Eaton.
