Community Foundation releases 2024 annual report
The Community Foundation of Warren County has released its 2024 Annual Report, celebrating the foundation’s 75 years of work in Warren County.
“Our 75th anniversary is more than a milestone — it’s a celebration of the people and partnerships that have made a lasting difference,” said Mark King, executive director of the Community Foundation. “Every grant, every scholarship, and every fund are a reflection of our community’s commitment to one another. Warren County is stronger today because of that shared spirit of giving.”
The report details more than $4.3 million in total charitable distributions, a celebration of 75 years of local philanthropic leadership, impact stories from nonprofits, donors, and community leaders, a calendar of events marking the foundation’s history and Warren Gives impact of $942,552 to 107 charitable causes
The Foundation awarded $1,155,699 in scholarships in 2024, benefiting 340 students from Warren County. In addition, students attending Pennsylvania schools were eligible for more than $300,000 in funding through the Pennsylvania Partnership for Access to Higher Education (PATH) program.
“As we mark this significant moment in the Foundation’s history, we’re also focused on the future,” said Tim Huber, Community Foundation of Warren County board chairman. “The impact we’ve had over the past 75 years is only possible because of the incredible generosity and trust of our donors. We look forward to continuing this work with renewed purpose in the years ahead.”
The foundation awarded $46,710 in non-traditional scholarships in 2024, benefiting 23 Warren County residents seeking to further their career or improve their employability through certificate or degree programs in healthcare, nursing, EMT, technical, social service and trade related fields. The foundation also distributed $1,981,962 in donor-designated and donor-advised funds, enabling individuals and families to support the charitable causes they care about most.
In 2024, the foundation provided $1,197,421 in grants to charitable organizations across the county. Grants were awarded to organizations including Warren General Hospital, Struthers Library Theatre, Family Services of Warren County, Experience Inc. Area Agency on Aging, Warren County Development Authority, Jefferson DeFrees Family Center, Don Mills Achievement Center, Warren County YMCA, Paws Along the River, United Fund, and Hospice of Warren County, among others.
The foundation also supported community events and initiatives such as the Warren County Fair, Fourth of July celebration, Warren County Summer Music School, Kinzua Heritage Festival, Warren Gives, United Fund, and the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry.
