YOUNGSVILLE LIBRARY NEWS

SAVE the Date: On Monday, June 24, be sure to kick off summer fun with a free family-friendly program performed by the Amazing and Interactive Magician Cris Johnson called “The Great Reading Adventure.” This free and highly “audience-interactive” show includes working together-themed magic using audience participation, comedy, fancy themed banners, silly antics, costume, and lots more. It’s perfect family fun that also encourages reading and promotes the value of libraries.

Due to a special programming collaboration and sponsorship by the 5 independent libraries within Warren County (Sheffield Twp Library, Sugar Grove Free Library, Tidioute Public Library, Warren Library, and Youngsville Library) there will be a total of 5 free, show dates (and two show-themes) offered in June for warren county residents. Three areas in Warren County will feature the larger show “The Great Reading Adventure” and two areas in Warren County will feature Cris Johnson’s other, smaller-scale “Ultimate Magic & Balloon Twisting” show.

The Great Reading Adventure shows are scheduled as follows: (a) Youngsville Area: Monday, June 24th at 10 am, program will be held at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church’s (179 Davis Street). (b) Sugar Grove Area: Monday, June 24th at 2:00 pm, a program will be held at the Sugar Grove VFD Fire Hall (27 Wilson Street). (c) Warren area: Thursday, June 20th at the Warren Public Library, two show times: 10:30 am and 12:30 pm. No registration required to attend any of the Great Reading Adventure Showtimes and you do not have to live in the “hosting site” area to participate. Example, if you are a Yngs area resident but the Warren date/time works better for you that’s fine!

The “Magic & Balloon Twisting” show is smaller in scale and has limited seating, so please contact the hosting library if you wish to attend either of these “Magic & Balloon Twisting” show times. Sheffield Area: Wednesday, June 19th at 10:30 am at the Sheffield Twp Library (814-968-3439) . Tidioute Area: Wednesday, June 19th at 2:00 pm at the Tidioute Public Library (814-484-3581).
