Blood drive scheduled

Community Blood Bank will be holding a blood drive at Warren General Hospital on June 6 from noon to 5 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling (814) 596-3395. Appointments are encouraged by not required and walk-ins will be taken as space allows. Those who donate during the month of June will have a chance to win one of two sets of kayaks and paddles.

JDFC ‘Walks and Talks’

The Jefferson DeFrees Family Center will hold its next ‘Wednesday Walks and Talks’ on June 5 and will include a walk through the historic district in Warren, culminating at Chloe’s Creamery, 334 Pennsylvania Ave. W. The event is open to the public and free of charge.

PennDOT has announced the following maintenance schedule for the week of June 3 for state roads in Warren County: Crack sealing on US 6 in Brokenstraw Twp. and Rt. 27 in Pittsfield and Deerfield townships; Ditch cleaning on Swede Hill Rd. in Farmington Twp. and Valentine Run Rd. in Pine Grove Twp. and Farmington Twp. and spray patching on US 6 in Pittsfield Twp.; Rt. 27 in Pittsfield Twp.; Old Route 62 in Pine Grove Twp. and Jackson Run Rd. in Farmington Twp.
