Warren Library to
host fly fishing seminar
Learn the art of fly fishing from Tom Bergstue on Monday, July 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Slater Room at the Warren Public Library, 205 Market St., Warren. The workshop will cover how to tie flies, essential gear, stream strategies, and selecting the right fly. Registration is required.
St. Joseph Catholic
School to host rummage sale
A rummage sale will be held at St Joseph Catholic School, 608 Pennsylvania Ave. W, Warren, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 27, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 28. A bag sale will be held Saturday, with bags purchased for $1. Items can be dropped off today from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. No TVs, computers, car seats, or exercise equipment is accepted. All proceeds benefit St. Joseph Catholic School.
Outdoor Club To Ride,
Hike Along Clarion River
On Sunday, June 29, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes or hike along River Road between Halton and Belltown along the Clarion river. The mountain laurel and the wild rhododendron may be in bloom. The ride will be on a public road so wear bright colored clothing, It should be relatively level. Meet at Musante Street in Warren at 1:30 p.m. to carpool to Halton boat launch. Greg Burkett will be the leader of this activity.
Retired State Hospital
workers to hold picnic
Warren State Hospital retirees will hold a picnic Thursday at Wildcat Park in Ludlow, Pa. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and table service. A drink, coffee and table coverings will be furnished.

For the week of June 16-20, the following people placed as follows: Monday Duplicate Bridge at the YMCA: Pat Fincher and Shelley Dahlie, first place; Mary Conarro and Barb Johnson, second place. Tuesday at the Warren Library: Jo Simonsen, first place; Bill Massa, second place. Thursday at the Woman’s Club: Nan Cashman, first place; Jo Simonsen tied with Peggy Morgan, second place.
