Caregivers Support Group meets Thursday

The Caregivers Support Group will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren. Enter the building via the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance and proceed to the Winger Room. Anyone interested in Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia-related diseases and all caregivers are welcome. The lending library is available at each meeting with many helpful books regarding the actual care of those with the disease. Time will be allowed for voicing concerns or questions. Plans will be shared for the kick-off party, fundraisers, and other upcoming events to support the September 28 Warren Area Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease. Produce Express visits

Pittsfield Tuesday

PITTSFIELD – The Second Harvest Produce Express will be at the Otterbein Global Methodist Church, 258 Dalrymple St., Pittsfield, on Tuesday, May 7. Food pick-up will begin at 2:30 p.m. and 80 families will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. No pre-registration is required.

Lynn Way and Anne Johnson were first on Monday at the YMCA with Lana Creal and Chick Bello in second. Phyllis Broadbent placed first Tuesday at the Allegheny Community Center and Connie Michell was second. Connie Lucia and Donna Holding were first and second Thursday at the Woman’s Club.
