Blood drives scheduled

The Community Blood Bank is holding blood drives at the Warren County Courthouse and Warren General Hospital next month. Those who donate in May will receive a chance to win one of two sets of kayaks. The first event is at Warren General Hospital on May 2 from noon to 5 p.m. and the drive at the courthouse is set for May 3 from 10 a.m. to noon.

National Day of Prayer

A gathering for the National Day of Prayer is planned for May 2 at the front of the Warren County Courthouse at noon. Faith Fellowship Church of God will be the alternate location in case of inclement weather.

Library programming

The following programming for adults is set for next month at the Warren Public Library: Master Gardeners on tree grafting, May 4 from 11 a.m. to noon; Meditation with Jill on May 6 at 5:30 p.m., May 9 at 12:30 p.m., May 20 at 5:30 p.m. and May 23 at 12:30 p.m.; Craft time on May 7 at 12:30 p.m.; Movie night on May 8 at 5:30 p.m.; A decluttering program on May 9 at 6:30 p.m.; Chair yoga with Jill on May 13 at 5:30 p.m. and May 16 at 12:30 p.m.; A book discussion on “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” on May 15 at 12:30 and then a discussion on the same film on May 15 at 5:30 p.m. and Game Night on May 22 at 5:30 p.m.

to hold business meeting

The Chandlers Valley Cemetery which is located on Brown Hill Road outside of Chandlers Valley, Pa., is holding a business meeting on Thursday, May 9, at 7 p.m. at the community center in Chandlers Valley. All families that have relatives or own lots in this cemetery are invited to attend this meeting.
