Bridge project details

PennDOT has released online plans for a 2025 bridge project that will replace the bridge on Rt. 27 over Patchen Run in Sugar Grove Twp. The bridge is located between the intersection with Lee Johnson Rd. and the intersection with Hazeltine Hollow Rd. The project includes the removal of the existing structure and the construction of a new concrete bridge. Work will also include minor paving work, and updates to drainage, slope stabilization and roadway shoulders. Work is expected to occur during the 2025 construction season. A detour will be required during construction and is expected to be in place for approximately four months. The proposed 30.3-mile detour route will be posted using Route 27, Route 69 (Jackson Run Rd), Route 62, and US 6.
