Bridge results

Laurie Curren and Lynn Way came in first on Monday at the YMCA with Lana Creal and Chick Bello in second. At the Woman’s Club on Thursday, Connie Michell and Rita Mancuso were first and second. The annual January Bridge Marathon at the Woman’s Club ended on Friday with Sharon Rissel and Bill Kuppinger in first place, followed by Marcy O’Brien and Nan Cashman in second.

Outdoor club to ski

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will participate in the Eagle Watch at Kinzua Dam on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Big Bend Visitor Center. The group wll ski or hike in the Economite Road area on Sunday, Feb. 4 and will meet at Musante St. at 1 p.m. for that event.

Here’s a look at adult programming at the Warren Public Library for the month of February: Chair yoga on Feb. 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Feb. 8 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Feb. 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Feb. 29 from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.; Movie night on Feb. 7 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; a Master Gardeners program on Feb. 10 from 11 a.m. to noon, part one of a three-part “Cabin Fever” series; Book discussions on Feb. 12 at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m; Craft Day on Feb. 15 at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.; Game night on Feb. 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and virtual author talks with Jason Mott on Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. and Kim Scott on Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. An interactive “Blind Date with a Book” event will also run from Feb. 1 through Feb. 24. Books are wrapped in paper and only a brief description is provided. Read a book from the display and submit a rating card by Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. to have your name entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card.

Christian Women to meet

Village Missions Country Partners Jamestown-Warren Christian Women will meet for its Valentine luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at noon at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell. Guest speaker, who will also sing, will be Brenda Carr of Jamestown. Call Nancy Schuyler for a reservation at (716) 720-4410.
