YOUNGSVILLE LIBRARY OFFERING

SEMINARS, TAX HELP

On Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. the Youngsville Public Library offers free one-on-one assistance with iPhone, tablet, android, laptop, and other computer/electronics questions.

No appointment is necessary and walk-ins are welcome. “Wi-fi Wednesdays” happens the third Wednesday of each month from 5 to 6 p.m. at the library. The casual, open question-and-answer time period is for everyone from beginner to advanced.

Those with questions about how to remove, add, or edit photos can have their questions answered, as can those with questions about how to tag emails or how to add an email account to a cell phone. Is a phone running slow? Do users need help deleting their search history? Would users like to delete or add phone apps? Personalized one-on-one questions like these can be addressed at each monthly “Wi-Fi Wednesday!”

Those attending should bring their fully charged electronic device as well as associated passwords (such as email password, Apple account password, etc.) if needed.

Free Tax Help Available: If you are a senior or make less than $60,000 per year, you are eligible for the free VITA program. This packet (in its completion) is required in order to participate in the free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program that is being offered through the Allegheny community Center (ACC). VITA can also assist you with the filing of your Property Tax/Rent Rebate, if applicable.

Stop in during library business hours to pick up the information/envelope packet and checklist. Once you’ve included all necessary materials/documents you then drop-off the packet, intake form, and special envelope at the ACC (42 Clark Street, Warren) Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Library hours are Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 814-723-4180 with questions about the program.
