Fire department to host chicken BBQ

The Clarendon Fire Department is hosting a drive-through Mother’s Day chicken barbecue beginning at noon on Sunday, May 14, until sold out. The cost is $15. To reserve a meal, call 814-723-4951.

Lunch meeting

The Warren High School Class of 1959 will meet for lunch at noon Thursday, May 11, at Mama Jane’s. Spouses and guests are always welcome.

Cleanup Day

Pleasant Township is holding a cleanup day on Saturday, May 20, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the municipal building. Fees will be $10 per car or $20 per pick-up truck. Anything bigger than a pick-up truck will be $30. Drivers licenses will be checked to verify township residency. Prohibited items include household garbage, shingles or similar roofing material, tires, hazardous materials such as chemicals, biohazards, paints, thinners, and electronics. Car batteries, scrap metals and used motor oil are acceptable and will be collected separately. All gasses/chemicals must be removed from refrigerators, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers.
