Eschborn announces candidacy for commissioner

Jeff Eschborn is one of six candidates seeking the Republican nomination for county commissioner in the upcoming primary election.

“My intentions are to encourage responsible government spending at the county level,” he said, and to “go to township and schoolboard meetings as well as city council meetings to gain a working relationship with them.”

Eschborn has been a Warren resident since he was 4-years-old, moving to the county in 1962.

“I represent Warren East on the Warren County Republican Committee,” he said.

Eschborn detailed a varied professional career.

“I’m retired from Cummins with roles of being plant chairman of the annual giving committee, the largest giving to United Way in Chautauqua County, NY,” he said. “I was a facilitator for Spectrum Diversity for new hires during orientation.”

Prior to Cummins, Eschborn operated a retail appliance store, working as an outside technician from 1985 until 2019. He’s also worked as an adult education instructor.

“Now that I’m retired, I am willing to Make this a full-time position,” he said.
